First Day of School First Day Of School is about a wild crush I had on a teacher. He was just unbelievable! I thought that it would be an awesome idea to have one of these taboo subjects on my CD ... because I wanted to have people wanting to know more about the whole story. I sat down my co-writers who are very close to me, and who really understand me...and I felt comfortable revealing these feelings to them....and First Day Of School was born. When I perform this song live I see faces in the audience light up ...and I know that they've had a similar experinece...and I don't mean just girls! It's turns out that First Day of School is a kind of universal story, and that's one of the things about it that was surprising to me...BONUS! I always have people asking me about this song and exactly went on but a smart girl will never kiss and tell...
